SAM's Access Request Manager

SAM’s Access Request Manager automates the process of adding or removing entitlements which are triggered by events in an employee lifecycle such as hiring, changing or terminating personnel. The Access Request Manager is comprised of two components, a portal for business users to request access and a configurable workflow to monitor and audit the approval process for a request.

SAM lets you create access request screens with a simple drag and drop (WYSIWYG) designer. All the data collection fields can be arranged at the client’s discretion. The screens can be configured to show each user only the resources that are relevant to a specific person’s functional role, department or business unit. Once complete, managers and other authorized users can use the request screens to add/change/remove access to resources, while SAM enforces the role-based company policy defined by the Role Manager.

SAM’s Access Request Manager also includes a configurable workflow engine so that you can implement a custom approval process that handles new access requests as well as updates and terminations based on an employee’s latest access status. Configure the approval process to go to any number of managers or department shared inboxes, based on transaction type or data collected in the request. SAM will highlight changes in entitlements during access updates and terminations so that approvers can more efficiently respond. Even better, participants in the workflow can reply right from their mobile phone (Blackberry, iPhone or Google)!
