Press Release: Credit unions contribute to member convenience with remote signature capabilities
LINDEN, N.J., July 14, 2010— Integrated Media Management(IMM)®, a document output management and automation technology provider, announced that Basking Ridge, N.J.-based Affinity Federal Credit Union has implemented TotaleAtlasWeb, the company's remote signature capture and secure document delivery solution. TotaleAtlasWeb provides protected document viewing and public key infrastructure (PKI) digital signature capture via the Web. PKI digital technology ensures secure, enforceable remote signatures that are trusted by the Adobe root certificate and available in perpetuity.
"IMM's TotaleAtlasWeb takes member convenience to a new level while also making our day-to-day operations more efficient and less costly," said Roland Plante, AVP of consulting services, Affinity.
Gordon Smith, VP of Information Technology, Affinity, added, "The technology enables individuals to accept and sign documents securely with a true PKI digital signature from remote locations, at any time of the day. It also contributes to our green initiatives by fostering an entirely digital environment, as it eliminates the need to print documents that were digital in the first place."
Plante explained that in addition to allowing Affinity members to complete documents outside the branch, TotaleAtlasWeb reduces the overall time it takes to complete forms with the automatic pre-population of data. He also added that IMM's ongoing compliance enhancements and the company's security features were important drivers in the decision making process.
Affinity has been an IMM customer for 10 years. The credit union has relied on IMM's Check 21 technology and TotaleWorks product suite to deliver paperless efficiencies to its members, as well as time and cost savings to its staff. Affinity wanted to expand the scope of convenience and benefits available to its members, so the credit union implemented IMM's TotaleAtlasWeb to provide remote digital signature functionality.
"Affinity recognized that automation and sound security measures must go hand in hand," Chuck Klein, CEO at IMM, said. "With TotaleAtlasWeb's PKI solution the signature is invalidated when a document is altered, providing an additional layer of enforceability."
Other customers new to IMM's TotaleAtlasWeb include Addison Avenue Federal Credit Union, Palo Alto, Calif.; Congressional Federal Credit Union, Washington, D.C.; Consumer Credit Union, Round Lake, Ill.; Diamond Credit Union, Pottstown, Pa.; and Nevada Federal Credit Union, Las Vegas.
