Veridian Credit Union Creates Paperless Environment with IMM Technology
06/29/2009
Press Release: Document technology increases efficiency, supports green initiatives
LINDEN, N.J., June 29, 2009— Integrated Media Management(IMM)®, a document output management and automation technology provider, announced that Veridian Credit Union has streamlined operations with its TotaleWorks product suite. The suite consists of TotaleAtlas, a document preparation engine that captures signatures electronically; TotaleChecks, software that laser prints online and batch institution official checks on blank security paper; and an automated teller receipt solution, TotaleReceipts that also captures signatures. Credit union members can also sign and complete loan documents remotely 24/7 with IMM's TotaleAtlasWeb, a remote signature capture and secure document delivery solution.
"We became an IMM customer because TotaleAtlas is seamlessly integrated with our core system," Gordon Lauterbach, manager of core systems, explained. "This relationship has grown because IMM continually introduces innovative products that are ahead of the market in terms of technology and a credit union's return on investment."
With 24 branches and approximately 152,000 members, Veridian CU has seen significant interest in DocQ, an add-on feature of TotaleAtlas that allows multiple signers to complete and sign documents in different locations and at different times. Documents are accessible by the staff at all branches, so they can be started at one branch and completed at a later time and different branch. "That's a huge piece," Monte Berg, senior vice president of finance, added. "We can start a loan in the call center and then the member can go to the nearest branch to provide a signature."
Veridian CU is also focused on becoming a more environmentally friendly organization. The credit union has purchased a hybrid vehicle and the branches are being reviewed to determine how to improve design for more efficient energy use. The TotaleWorks suite significantly supports Veridian CU's green initiatives by helping the credit union go paperless.
"All of the IMM products help us become a greener credit union," Lauterbach said. "TotaleAtlasWeb allows members to sign loan documents from home instead of driving to a branch, and with the reliability of TotaleReceipts, we save paper by only printing receipts if the member requests a copy."
"Going green is a popular initiative in the credit union industry, and replacing paper-based processes with electronic solutions is the roadmap," Chuck Klein, CEO at IMM, commented. "Veridian CU has made the commitment to technology that will benefit the environment, it's members and the credit union itself."
