Case Study: Efficiency and speed in document processing extremely important to busy CU
LINDEN, N.J., June 15, 2006— Oklahoma Employees Credit Union (OECU), Oklahoma City, Okla. with 37,000 members and $210 million in assets, has installed Integrated Media Management's (IMM) TotaleAtlas and TotaleReceipts, which integrates with OSI the credit union's new core processing system. Linden, N.J.-based IMM specializes in output management and document automation technology and TotaleAtlas and TotaleReceipts are part of TotaleWorks, IMM's comprehensive suite of document output products.
"When we first selected the IMM technology, we were trying to find a solution that would help us get our receipts and loan documents straight into our optical image system," said Luann Schmiedel, EVP for OECU. "We were happy with IMM technology and how it worked and we really didn't see any need to change it when we moved to a new core processor and it was a smooth transition"
"Our consumer lending division is very busy. We do a large number of smaller dollar loans which produces a lot more paperwork," said Schmiedel. "IMM technology is very efficient. You don't have to handle paperwork multiple times. Transactions take half the time to complete and are transferred automatically to our optical image system. Receipts don't have to be printed and we save time because documents are automatically scanned and indexed. It also takes the human error out of it. You don't have to worry about miscoding information. We would need four full-time scanners if we didn't have the IMM technology."
TotaleWorks improves the transaction process by electronically streamlining what has historically been a paper-based system. Financial institutions are able to leverage their existing technology and reduce operation costs through improved workflow, document presentment, embedded electronic signature capture and secure document delivery.
TotaleAtlas is a complete turnkey, browser-based document presentment solution. It eliminates the time consuming effort of either storing paper and manually retrieving or physically scanning and indexing. With TotaleAtlas, XML host data is merged with documents and presented to the user. All fields that were not populated from the host database are completed on screen allowing the entire document to be completed, including an imbedded, digitized esignature before printing. Documents can be laser printed, faxed or emailed to a customer. The documents are then archived as non-editable and indexed PDFs.
TotaleReceipts eliminates the need for pre-printed paper receipts as well as for manual scanning, indexing, storing and retrieving by automating the output of teller transaction receipts. After posting a transaction, receipts can be printed on either blank thermal or laser paper. Signatures are applied and submitted, and the documents are stored as 128-Bit encrypted, noneditable, indexed PDFs.
Schmiedel appreciates the level of customer service that IMM provides. "They always did what they said they were going to do in a timely manner and they are always very responsive to us," she said.
"Our document automation technology seamlessly integrates with a number of core processors," said Chuck Klein, CEO of Integrated Media Management. "Our goal is to simplify and streamline the document process for our customers as much as possible and support them through all of their technology upgrades."
