Your Federal Credit Union Implements Integrated Media Management's TotaleChecks Technology

Press Release: Seamless, behind the scenes application simplifies check process
Integrated Media Management (IMM), which specializes in output management and document automation technology, today announced that Irving, Texas-based Your Federal Credit Union (FCU) has successfully integrated IMM's TotaleChecks product with its core platform for its 17,000 members. Since employing the solution, the $147 million asset Your FCU has been able to make its check printing operation paperless.
TotaleChecks is a server-based software that prints online and batch institution official checks on blank security stock paper. All transactions are generated on the financial institution's host system and then merged with the encrypted check and a digitized signature before being printed. The storage and management of preprinted checks, as well as the risks associated with storing negotiable documents, is eliminated. TotaleChecks has been installed at 144 credit unions nationwide.
"The conversion manager from Users worked out the details with IMM in testing at their headquarters in Valley Forge, Pa.," Garland Head, information specialist for Your FCU, said. "TotaleChecks runs on one central server, has logic to print to the correct printer, is seamlessly integrated with the Users platform and creates a PDF image for storage."
"It's a behind the scenes application which is simple to use," Head continued. "Basically it's a 'set it up and forget it' operation. It runs on a dedicated server and then listens on the network for when a check needs to be printed, gathers the essential information and sends it to a printer. If you need to make any adjustments, it's a fairly intuitive application."
TotaleChecks is part of IMM's TotaleWorks, a full suite of products for document output and signature capture. The suite also includes TotaleAtlas and TotaleReceipts. TotaleWorks improves the transaction process by electronically streamlining what has historically been a paper-based system and in the end, improves the overall operational efficiency. Financial institutions are able to leverage their existing technology and reduce operation costs through improved workflow, document presentment, embedded electronic signature capture and secure document delivery.
