Integrated Media Management and XP Systems Expand Partnership

Press Release: Companies form alliance that provides seamless integration to joint customers
LINDEN, N.J., Feb. 19, 2008— Integrated Media Management® (IMM) and Moorpark, Calif.-based XP Systems recently announced an expanded partnership. Credit unions using XP Systems' core system, XP2, will now be able to have a Check 21 solution that is seamlessly integrated with their core financial platform. The integration gives joint customers the ability to scan checks at the teller stations and automatically enter the information in to XP2, eliminating the time and errors associated with manual entry.
One credit union that has already benefited from the partnership is Affinity Federal Credit Union. Affinity FCU sought a Check 21 solution that would allow it to eliminate the time that tellers were spending in the back office scanning checks instead of interacting with members and one that would enable them to electronically submit information to Members United Corporate Credit Union.
The credit union serves more than 120,000 in 20 branches. It estimates that the new technology will free up 6,500 hours per year of time that tellers previously spent scanning checks.
"We wanted a total solution that would eliminate paper and allow our members to complete their transactions in the branch more quickly," Roland Plante, AVP of Consulting Services at Affinity FCU, said. "We began working with IMM because of their experience with paperless technology and it became evident that Check 21 at the teller station was the wave of the future. IMM had a close partnership with XP Systems and its products were completely integrated with that core system, which created efficiencies in workflow and reduced paper costs."
"The partnership between the leading technologies of Integrated Media Management and XP Systems provides cost-effective solutions to the credit union industry," John Edwards, president of XP Systems, said. "We've been very successful with all of the other IMM products, and we expect that teller item capture will provide our credit union customers with all of the efficiencies and intangible benefits that electronic check processing offers."
"We have had a successful partnership with XP Systems for more than 10 years," Chuck Klein, CEO at IMM, explained. "All the way from development to the sales process, our companies have worked together to provide innovative technology with the ease that seamless integration provides, and we are extremely pleased to add teller item capture to that list."
The seamless integration of XP2 and IMM's teller item capture will be available with Release 15 for XP2. This will add teller item capture to a list of integrated products that currently includes all of the products in IMM's flagship suite, TotaleWorks.
