Credit Unions Show Increased Demand for IMM's TotaleChecks

Press Release: Credit unions continue seeking ways to eliminate costs, dependence on preprinted checks

LINDEN, N.J., February 2, 2010— Integrated Media Management(IMM)®, a document output management and automation technology provider, announced today the recent surge in demand for TotaleChecks, a 100 percent software solution, which it attributes to increased security concerns in storing negotiable documents. TotaleChecks eliminates that risk while also providing a more efficient process and a green environment.

The server-based software laser prints online and batch institution checks on blank security paper, eliminating the need to store and manage preprinted checks. IMM has received 182 TotaleChecks orders to date, including 11 orders in the last two months.

Just one component of TotaleWorks, IMM's flagship suite of products, TotaleChecks enables financial institutions to save up to 80 percent on the costs of printing and managing preprinted checks by eliminating the manual storage and retrieval of these items. It additionally reduces the security risks and concerns associated with storing negotiable documents. TotaleChecks is seamlessly integrated with the institutions' core system— wherein the check data is generated— and merges the data with a template, including digitized signatures that are applied based upon institution-defined logic. An auto-indexed 128-bit encrypted PDF of the check is created for download to an imaging system, eliminating paper and making retrieval much more efficient and cost effective.

Some recent TotaleChecks customers include CalTech Employees FCU, Chesterfield FCU, Katahdin FCU, Knoxville TVA Employees CU, Listerhill CU, Members Preferred CU, MidFlorida CU and Peninsula Community CU.

"Constant improvements in efficiency, cost savings and security are paramount in today's economy, so financial institutions continue to realize that these can all only be achieved with the implementation of fully automated processes," explained Chuck Klein, CEO of Integrated Media Management. "Changing the way paper checks are managed and stored is part of that process. The automatic archival, indexing and retrieval of these documents enhances both workflow as well as the protection of personal information while reducing overall expenses."
